Yesterday was my mom’s birthday. We celebrated it last Sunday at Caffe Puccini at the Fort Strip. Everyone was happy. Everyone was full. burp

How old is my mom? How good is your math? Pick any number… (between one and gazillion… get a calculator if you must). Multiply your number by 12 (for December), multiply again by 15 (for her birthdate), add 2008 (for the current year), less 1230 (the time of her bithday lunch reservation), less 2000 (the year I got married), add 1945 (the year my dad was born), less 723 (the exact time I was born), then divide by the number you picked, divide by 4 (the number of her children), add 15 (the date of her birth), add 3 (for three daughters). Growing up, my mom used to give us this kind of math drill. She’s a CPA. The answer to this puzzle is her age!

Yesterday was also the Christmas party of the kids’ football club.

And today was a busy, busy day. We were at the LTO at eight this morning for Riel’s drivers’ license renewal, then had our coffee and brunch at the mall, then did some banking errands. The kids’ school schedule today is totally crazy: 7am to bring Raf, 12nn to bring the twins, 2pm to get Raf, and 4pm to get the twins. I feel worse than a cab driver (at least he gets paid while I get scolded for being late). At 4:30 pm, we did a hurried shoot for our holiday cards. Our backyard became a makeshift studio.

(Karen, in case you’re wondering, I bought the canvas backdrop in Quiapo, along Hidalgo. It’s 5’x7′ around P750. I should have gotten a bigger one. It’s a good investment for you)
