I’ve been busy in the kitchen the past days, baking carrot cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting.

(1) The recipe calls for three cups of shredded carrots. Its health benefits, however, are negated by the richness of the cream cheese frosting; (2) cupcakes fresh from the oven (and soccer ball in the kitchen!?! ); (3) piped frosting; (4) the frosted cupcakes; (5) with sprinklers and fondant toppers; (6) holly and berries = red and green = christmas; (7) preparing the boxes, and… (8) ready to go.
Meantime, what are the holidays without some serious sugar? These are hand-modelled fondant toppers. While I enjoy the process, I realized that I cannot mass-produce these edible delights.

And for the Christmas giveaway, remember the gift tags I posted earlier? Well, you can download the high-resolution for your own use. These are .png files which support transparency. Just layer it on top of your photo and the transparent area will reveal the image underneath. You can then add a text box on top to personalize your tags. Most image editing softwares support png files or you can use Word, Excel or Powerpoint. To download the templates, right-click on the image and select “save picture as”. KQOTD. At seven in the morning, on the way to school, Raf and Marco were ribbing each other in the back seat. Marco (bothered): Mommy, kuya is calling me nerdy face! Me: Being a nerd is not bad. Do you know what a nerd is? Marco (with confidence): Yes! It means you are ugly and you always go to Science class! Me (chuckling inside): Oh, is that so? Well, I’d l ike it if you are a genius. Raf: Mommy, I want to be that. A genius! Me (skeptical): Really? Do you know what a genius is? Raf (unsure): Ummm… a better-looking nerd?
