Spriiiiiing!

For Today… March 20, Wednesday

Outside my window… it’s immaculate white.  Spring officially starts today, yet we were dumped with significant amount of snow yesterday.  Some school boards declared snow day yesterday, unfortunately ours were not included.

On my mind… it’ll be a late spring.  We were outside this morning and I took some pictures while we pass along the lakeshore.  It was so beautiful.  It looked like Narnia.

I am thankful for… good friends, near and far, in flesh and online.

I am wearing… Plains & Prints khaki jeans and black long sleeves top.

I am creating… a new painting. I am starting a new one.  Wednesday is art class and it’s something I look forward to every week.

(That’s my teacher over there, a very nice lady.)

This is the previous painting that I was doing.

I am hoping… to keep the current momentum.  I’ve got chores to do after posting this.  I was sluggish the past couple of days — blame it on the weather.

I am watching… the tv is on right now, Kingdom of Heaven is showing.

From the kitchen... almond poppy seed bread with orange almond glaze.  Perfect with coffee.

Other stories to tell…

We did a bit of spring cleaning too, mostly the boys’ old toys and outgrown clothes and shoes.   Riel and I believe in involving the kids in this process and them actually bringing the boxes to the donation center.

And bento… my latest obsession.   It’s an everyday challenge to come up with healthy sets of lunch and snacks for the boys.

Snacks: Carrots and Celery Sticks with ranch dip, a small slice of almond poppy seed bread, marbled cheese and yogurt.

Lunch:  Baked Haddock Fish and Brown Rice, Buttered Corn and Peas, and Cherry Tomatoes.
