It was a fun-filled four-day weekend spent further down South, hosted graciously by my SIL. I have lots of stories and photos to share.
Firstly, I crossed to the other side. I got myself a Mac. Actually, I bought it on DH’s credit card, so technically, he got the Mac for me. I’ve been a PC person ever since and consistently refused a Mac. My worry is that my templates and programs won’t run smoothly on Mac, but as soon as I installed my Adobes, I knew everything will go well. Plus, the Mac is so sleek-looking. So yep, I’m blogging from my new Mac.
Secondly, I made cream puffs for the weekend. I was hoping that they would last till Saturday, but my little ones ate them all up before Friday dinner. My little ones call them puffles (obviously a take from Club Penguin).
Trying our 25-year old recipe. I remember my aunt baking these when we were little. My Ate Cris makes delicious cream puffs. My choux pastry in the oven.Cooling down on the wire rack and ready for the custard filling.
Friday morning, we headed down South. This four-day weekend was planned weeks in advance, a double celebration of our ninth anniversary and my SIL’s birthday.
Going up the mountain, I could see the beach behind from my side mirror.
We reached the place at lunch time. Our gastronomical adventure began. We had twice-cooked adobo, cilantro salsa and gising-gising. Yum yum.
We didn’t do much that afternoon. The sky was gloomy. A trip to the beach was postponed. We took a nap instead. It rained the whole afternoon. The following morning, the sun was out. It was a beautiful day.We went to the Marina in the morning to pick up the live lobsters. Above was the fisherman’s banca where he loaded the lobsters. This was our dinner. We scouted the place for a while……and met this little crab. Its shell was so luminous in real life.At mid-morning, cousin Keelia arrived. We still had time to go to the beach before lunch. They had fun in the beach. Interestingly, all these boys carry the same last name.Colorful Yago.BIL and SIL off to snorkel near the buoy.Floating MarcoLook at the things that catch DH’s attention. He insisted that I take a picture of this. Hah! it’s garbage, literally.Saturday lunch, we had pizza, pasta, and barbeque. Then SIL made delicious homemade ice-cream.One of the best. It wasn’t overly sweet. And it was freshly-made.In the afternoon, the boys had fun playing sungka. It was their first time to play sungka.I also bonded with my godson. He smells so good… milky good.We heard mass Saturday afternoon. Then the much-awaited dinner, the highlight of the weekend.Fresh greens….Steamed lobsters…Grilled steak. How our plates looked like. Yum yum. burpOur dessert, flown in from The Cheesecake Factory. Want a short-cut? Order it from TOSH.Happy Birthday!Sunday morning, the day looked good again. The kids went ahead to the beach. I overslept.Raf, looking so tan and “stuffed”. His waistline is bigger than my boobies.Gabby, enjoying the water.Marco, still happy here. This was before we scolded him for washing his Nintendo DS Lite in running water!
When I join the kids in the sea, they gravitate to me. I’m like a hen with three little ducklings following me. Above, Tito Ninong staying with Yago, while SIL and DH snorkeled away.
The twins rolling with the waves.Sunset from the roof deck.Me with my boys (and four pounds heavier from four days ago).

KQOTD. We passed by Sta. Rosa on our way home. Marco: Mommy, I saw a sheep! But it doesn’t have the white skin. Me: Could that be a goat? Marco: Oh yeah…
