Some Stuff from Niagara

Visiting Niagara Falls for the first time.

It was a six-hour drive from Virginia to Niagara Falls, Ontario.
The trip was tiring, but that didn’t deter us from scoping the place right away.
After early dinner, we wandered around the city.
This is the view you get from Ontario side.  They say the view here is much better because you see both the American falls and the Horseshoe falls.
The American falls.
The Canadian Horseshoe falls.
Apart from the falls, Niagara Ontario has a more vibrant downtown than the New York side with lots of things to do.
Pedestrian walk to USA!

Perhaps the highlight of this Niagara trip was the ride on the Maid of the Mist.

It is a 30-minute boat ride.
They provide you with a souvenir raincoat to keep you dry from the mist and spray.
From the Canadian dock, the boat takes you past the base of American falls…
… to the basin of the Horseshoe falls.
The view from the boat is awesome.
The Rainbow Bridge.  It connects Niagara Falls, New York and Niagara Falls, Ontario.
It was a fun tour.  We all enjoyed the boat ride.

Other activities:

We took the boys to Fun House.
They played with mirrors.  They laughed at themselves when they saw how they would look like as midgets.
We also went to Mystery Maze.
It was very confusing.
We completed the maze under 15 minutes.
Arcade games abound.  They miss Timezone!
We also watched a magic show at the hotel.

Before heading back to Montreal…

… we passed by Toronto to meet up with good friends.  This is Raf’s much-awaited day.
Raf met up with classmate Geo.
With co-parents, Clare and Bon.  An afternoon with you guys is not enough!
Riel with ex-Far East Bank officemates, Sarah and Bochie.

KQOTD: Over dinner, Raf couldn’t finish the food he put on his plate.  With an aversion to wasting food, Grammy wanted to teach the boys a lesson: You know there is a saying that your eyes are bigger than your stomach.  Do you know what that means?  Gabby answered quickly: You’re a  MONSTER!
