More of Manila

Another super late post.  Nevertheless, I’m putting these up before they become orphaned photos.

You know you’re in Manila when this kind of traffic hits you on a Monday at 8:30 in the morning.

Cars. Buses. Jeepneys. Motorcycles. Pedestrians.

Skyway toll rates.
While there was a snowstorm in Montreal at -20˚C, we were melting in Manila at 34˚c.  And like the old days, we still love our 105.1 Crossover station.
Passing by my office building…
…along Ayala Avenue.

Breakfast at home.

Still love the bell that you ring when you want something else from the kitchen to be brought out.
Manila or Montreal or back to Manila, I still enjoy hanging out with my boys.
The lush garden.
Riel reunited with his old car.
Philippines has the best mangoes.  Period.
Typical breakfast with Lola Bu.  I love our mornings.

Visiting Grammy and Grampy’s place…

It’s a familiar setting and the boys love it there.
Pink guitar?  Really, Raf?
He  found his spot.
Cooling down in the pool.

Moving now to my Mom’s place…

Up to this day, I still love the details of our old house.

We still have the old glider swing…
…the same one where my boys love to hang out when they visit my Mom before we left for Montreal…
1975

…the very same one where I used to play around when I was a kid.  (FYI: I was such a tomboy when I was young.  I played with sticks, stones, spiders, bugs, white mice… I climbed trees and went up the roof, and I ran around with no slippers!) (KQOTD.  Raf: Mom, is that you?  You look like a boy in the picture.  There’s no resemblance.  What happened to you???)

Get together with my family. OldHouse02
