Eating is one of our favorite activities and restaurants are scattered everywhere.
We had a taste of smoked meat sandwich, bought from the same place we had our breakfast on Day 1.
The meat is thicker than the bread. Surprisingly, the meat was tender.
We also ate at Creperie Catherine, an instant favorite. Their crepes are to die for! Entering the restaurant reminded us of the familiar Cafe Breton aroma that we frequent back home.
Roommate ordered this dessert for me. My heart went pitter-patter. (Gina and Rov, hurry up and visit us here. We miss the after-dinner bonding.)Then we saw this maple store. This sign got the boys curious. They wanted to try it.Out came the store manager. We ordered five. He gave us a stick each.Maple taffy was poured on a bed of “snow”. The store manager told us to wait for 45 seconds before rolling the taffy on the stick. The boys patiently counted 1 to 45. Gabby was first. We went by height… smallest to biggest: Gabby, Marco, Raf. That’s what you call order…. to prevent chaos. The luminous maple taffy. It’s yummy, you can tell! Mmmmmmm…. complete with closed eyes They wanted a second round, but we think they had enough sugar for the day.
We had a full day ahead of us.
We took the Cabriolet to take us to the foot of the gondola. It says “Gratuit”. It’s a free ride.Remember order? Smallest to biggest… Apparently, “ladies first” doesn’t apply in my family. We got a good view of the village. Our hotel… and hotel room.Heated pool at the back of our hotel.Enjoying the view. Poor Gabby, he couldn’t see the view very well. We couldn’t carry him though. At the top of the village, we took the boys to the EuroBungy trampoline.Showing off their “billets” (tickets).Patiently waiting for their turn. They waited for 30 minutes.
In the meantime, I want you to check the link below. It should give you a panoramic 360-degree view of where I was at that time… just hold and drag your cursor on the image from left to right and the image will spin.
My photo stitching isn’t perfect yet but I’ll improve on that.
Gabby putting on the harness.Hahaha… I bet he was scared. Payback time for making our bed their trampoline.Wheee…..Marco seemed to be enjoying it.Raf being lifted….Not scared at all.We also took the panoramic gondola that took us to the summit of Mont Tremblant, the highest peak of the Laurentian region. All aboard. The rain spoiled the view. The lift ride took about 10-15 minutes.
We couldn’t do much at the summit because the rain got stronger and the view was blocked by the fog. Instead, we wandered into their mini museum.
Special mention of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, the Luge was the kids’ favorite activity. The Luge is a three-wheel non-motorized gravity ride on a 1.4km zigzagging concrete track.
When Raf saw the track, he declared, “Okay, I wanna live here!” He said it with strong conviction, as if it was his decision to make. The map of the Luge and the rules. The drivers getting excited.First, they waited for the chairlift that took them to the top of the hill. The lift seats two persons at a time. Raf and Marco here.Riel and Gabby next. The chairlift has a travel distance of 330m, about three minutes ride. Some few minutes later, I saw Riel and Gabby coming down. They went ahead of Raf and Marco.Spotting Raf…Then Marco following closely behind.Swish…….Whoosh……The “speed racers” after the ride. The Luge… once is never enough!

KQOTD. Pointing to the Luge track, Raf told me: “Mom, look! You can practice driving and reading the traffic signs there… like slow down.”

When I hand the camera to them, I either look like this:
