This is the game I enjoyed playing with my siblings, cousins and friends when we were kids. At such a young age, we were exposed to big words like acquisition, rent, property tax, mortgage and bankruptcy. But more than that, the game taught us about opportunity, strategy, deal making and fair-play. It is surprising to know that Riel also played and enjoyed the same game as much as I did when he was a kid.
So we gave the kids Monopoly for Christmas. This is their second monopoly set — the first one was the original version which we got about three years ago but the kids were just too young to appreciate it then. Now we have the World Edition which is so cool because it features places from all over the globe! And it came with calculator and credit cards (more like debit cards) instead of paper bills! Start them early while having fun.
Here they are playing Monopoly on Christmas morning.
