Something’s grilling. The aroma made us hungry earlier than usual.Wanna eat steak?
My high school classmate, Alma, who now lives in Denmark, is in town to attend my kid sister’s wedding on Sunday. She had lunch here, came with me to fetch Raf in school, then we went to the spa, then to the mall (bought green shoes), then to the grocery. It was late afternoon when we got back. We took care of dinner: grilled steak, grilled vegetables and roasted peppers. The boys love Tita Alma around.
At dinner time, with Matt and Liezl. It was a lovely (and delicious) evening. Ought to be repeated. burp
On a sidenote, Raf was part of the Civics and History quiz bee in school. I was there to lend support (translation: I’m a stage mom)
Raf with his teammates, classmate M and classmate D (hiding behind the board)This is their Civics and History teacher, Mr D.The other participants from Sections B and C. Raf is in Section A.The Grade 1 students attentively listening to the questions. I was seated at the back. The quiz bee began. They wrote their answers on the board. I was more nervous than the participants. I had to transfer in front.Cover your answer. No cheating.Yay! Correct!
There were 32 questions. The questions were getting harder and harder.
Some of the questions were no longer in the handouts. Section A didn’t win, but Raf joining the quiz bee is already a big thing to me.
