Day 1 in Subic (the rest of the story)

Our breakfast became brunch.  We ate past 10:30am.  Food was so-so.  But the kids devoured their set meals in record time, all eager to resume their beach activities. At this point, our room was not yet available.  Check-in time was at 2pm.    The kids were getting restless.  I told yaya to take the kids back to the water while I stay and look after the bags.

Building their sandcastle.
Couldn’t resist the water anymore.  They took off their shirts after I gave them the go-ahead signal.
“Mommy, are you going to swim with us?” Gabby asked. “No sweetie, I’m having fun just by watching you.” I replied.
Marco, my little fish.  I’m surprise my kids aren’t bothered by the salty water.  I despise salty water.  Apparently they didn’t take after me.  Good for them.
“Mommy, I saw a small blue fish with black stripes!  Cool!”

At 1pm, I saw a couple of girls eating halo-halo.  I got “inggit” so I also ordered for us.  I also told the boys to rinse first because we will be checking in soon.

I was a bit disappointed with their halo-halo, lacking the sweetness and creaminess that I was craving for.

Waiting for the check-in.  I told the boys they’re not allowed to get wet anymore, but they can still play in the sand.  Looking at Raf here made me realize that he isn’t a baby anymore (to my dismay).

In the afternoon, the kids went back to the beach and enjoyed the water with cousin Keelia.
I particularly enjoyed this small show.
There was a repeat performance in the evening, this time with real fire dance.
The following morning, the kids were back to the beach.  Spot me here.
You can’t coz I was at the side.  Mommy isn’t swimming again.  I can’t stand salty water.
I can barely recognize my kids anymore.  They look five shades darker than yesterday.   Enjoy it kids, we won’t have this sun in Canada.
“Mommy, I found this shell for you.  Keep it, okay?” (Now scratching my head.  Where did I put that shell?)

This is my sis-in-law, Risa, and her daughter Keelia.  Thanks Risa for taking us there.  We enjoyed ourselves and I enjoyed your vegetable pita.  A repeat is necessary.

KQOTD.  Raf was aghast when he saw me taking photos of the fire dance.  Raf (accusing and demanding):  Mommy, why are you taking pictures?  Take video!  How will I remember their dance when I grow old, huh?”
