Our first stop was Ithaca, New York… we visited Cornell University.
Grammy studied here many years ago.
I was very excited for this trip because, when I was growing up, my Papang (paternal grandfather) would take us to Baguio to visit the PMA (Philippine Military Academy) campus. He and my two other uncles graduated there. In fact we even had the shirts….
This is probably in the late 70’sAnd in the early 90’s.All the cousins were there as PMA class 43 celebrated its 50th anniversary.
This time is my kids turn to visit the school of Grammy.
We spent an afternoon at Cornell, walking around the huge university campus.We even retraced the path that Grammy used to take going to school.Grammy also showed us her boarding house.The kids may be oblivious with the significance of this excursion but it will surely be imprinted in their minds.
